How to Use Google Translate on Your Android
If you need to translate a document or communicate with a foreign language speaker, Google Translate can help you. Its super-fast processing power is ideal for translating technical documents, but it cannot translate emotions. Even worse, it cannot translate the meaning of certain words. Google Translate doesn't understand the difference between words and their meanings, so it can't help you in situations where you need to express something sensitive or personal.
In order to use Translate, you must first be logged in to your Google account. Once logged in, select the language pair you want to translate. To translate an entire page or text, you can choose two or more languages. You can choose a language pair by tapping on the button on the right or left of the screen. When you have selected a language pair, a list of language choices will appear. Select a language to translate and hit the Translate button again to see the result.
Translation techniques differ according to the language. Some translation systems preserve context by reproducing the original word order. Other approaches preserve grammatical structure. In a "fixed-word order" language, like English, a translator will translate the words in the correct order. Other translation systems are based on a free-word-order approach, where translation is made to fit the target language's syntactic structure.
